This training class will take students on a journey on the differences between Essbase 7x to 11x. The adventure begins with an overview of System 9 and the new enhancements between 7x and 9.3.1, including how to utilize these new features. Our voyage then proceeds from System 9 to Essbase 11.1.1 as we introduce you to all of the new 11x features including text in Essbase cubes and varying attributes. Our quest concludes with a one hour introduction of the New Essbase Studio and the promise of more to come. Knowledge is acquired through material review and hands on exercises.

This training course will teach students the fundamentals for integrating data with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). In this class, you will learn to interface metadata and data between source data systems and Hyperion Planning, Financial Management and Essbase, building dimensions, loading data, and extracting data. ODI has some powerful capabilities but is definitely more complex than our old friend, HAL. The course begins by defining some of the confusing terms like topology, data servers, logical and physical architectures, and knowledge modules. We will take you on an in-depth tour of the ODI components: Topology Manager, Designer and Operator. You will gain a breadth of knowledge through material review and hands-on exercises to build models, projects and interfaces. After taking this class you will be prepared to use ODI in your environment.
